Borussia Dortmund are in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League! As group winners, they will have to play against a second-placed team in February, with the draw taking place on Monday.

01 | When does the draw for the last 16 take place?

The draw will be on Monday, 16 December, and takes place at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

02 | Can BVB be drawn against Leverkusen oder Schalke?

No. As group winners, BVB will play against one of the eight group runners-up, excluding Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke 04. The rules prevent teams from the same national associates competing against each other at this stage or clubs facing rivals from their  own group stage, in this case Arsenal FC.

03 | Who could BVB play in the last 16?

Borussia Dortmund will either play Galatasaray AŞ, Olympiacos FC, Manchester City, FC Zenit or AC Milan in the first knock-out round.

04 | Will there also be a draw for home advantage?

No. The first leg will be away from home on either 18/19 or 25/26 February, with the second leg being played in Dortmund on 11/12 or 18/19 March.
