Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Jakub Blaszczykowski and Nuri Sahin gave their verdict on BVB’s 2-2 draw with Hoffenheim, and all three players agreed that Borussia Dortmund should have won the game.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: “It was an unbelievably intense game. Hoffenheim were very good, especially on the break. We fought and tried everything until the end. Unfortunately, it was not to be. I still think that we showed some great spirit. We should have won the game, though, of course, Hoffenheim also had good chances. But we already had some clear-cut ones before their first goal. I actually have to Hoffenheim for my goal. It was a gift. The ball rolled through the goalkeeper’s legs and I only had to tap it home.”

Jakub Blaszczykowski: “We would have deserved to win today. But to win a game like this, you need to make the most of your chances, and we missed too many of them today. And that’s why I’m not entirely happy.  But we showed very good spirit and managed to come back from behind. However, all things considered, we should have won the game.”

Nuri Sahin: “If you score two goals away from home, you are normally doing quite well. We conceded two totally unnecessary goals in the first half, and so we first had to find a way back into the game. We had plenty of chances to score more goals, and we only have ourselves to blame for not taking them. We, the entire team, must find ourselves again, and then we will bounce back for sure.”
