Borussia Dortmund have been drawn against VfL Wolfsburg in the semi-final of the DFB Cup. The tie is scheduled to be played at Signal Iduna Park on 15/16 April 2014.

Borussia Dortmund have reached the last four of the German Cup for the 11th time in their history. Whilst managing only one win on their travels, they won all of their five home games at this stage of the competition! BVB have only met VfL Wolfsburg in the DFB Cup on one occasion before – in 2001 they lost 1-0 away to VfL’s reserve side in a first round tie.

“We have finally been drawn at home,” said BVB chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke. “Still, Wolfburg are a very tough side. We want to get to Berlin. We have always said that!” The final will take place at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium on 17 May. Sporting director Michael Zorc said, “I’m very happy that we will be able to play the semi-final in front of our own fans at Signal Iduna Park. That’s the most important thing for us.”
