The Borussia Dortmund women have emerged 3-2 (1-0) victors in a friendly fixture against Oberliga outfit SpVg Aurich. Goals from Marjana Naceva, Marie Grothe and Danelle Tan secured the next triumph of the current preparation period in Dortmund.

The opponents from Aurich, who play their league football in the Niedersachsenliga West, pressed high right at the start of the match. The Black & Yellows took several minutes to find their way into the game in the period that followed. After two unused chances, Marjana Naceva eventually opened the scoring at 1-0 by firing the ball into the top corner after a possession turnover in the box.

The Borussia ladies were able to create further chances in the second period but initially conceded an equaliser through Aurich's Lara Frisch following some disorganisation in their own defensive ranks (56). Sulewski's team did not take long to respond. Merle Greulich received the ball from Marie Grothe and passed it on to Mia Bedarf, who fed the ball back to Grothe. She scored and fired BVB into a 2-1 lead (60). Within 60 seconds, Danelle Tan received a pass from Hannah Geldschläger and extended the advantage to 3-1 (61). Another goal back for Aurich (88), scored once again by Frisch, rounded off the scoring at 3-2.

BVB coach Thomas Sulewski was nonetheless satisfied with his team: "We deserved to win. A very good friendly against a very good opponent."
