The German U17 national team including three young BVB players Almugera Kabar, Paris Brunner and Charles Herrmann have won their third game at the World Cup in Indonesia and will head into the round of 16 as group winners after their 3-0 victory against Venezuela. Next up on Tuesday (9:30 CET, shown live in Germany on Sky Sport News) are the USA.

Paris Brunner played the full match against the South Americans, Almugera Kabar started as a left-back and was replaced in the half-time break. Charles Herrmann came on in the 62nd minute.

In the hot and humid capital city of Jakarta, the Germany U17s took a 1-0 lead in the very first minute thanks to Robert Ramsak of Bayern Munich. Eric da Silva Moreira (FC St. Pauli) doubled the lead in the 42nd minute, before Ramsak made it 3-0 with his second goal on 57 minutes. "Everything went to plan. The boys have fully thrown themselves into the World Cup and have what it takes to stay in the tournament even longer," said DFB coach Christian Wück.

Meanwhile, the Germany Under-19 national team beat Norway 3-1 in Estepona, Spain. Rafael Lubach from BVB's U19s was brought on by DFB coach Christian Wörns in the second half.

Bundesliga: U19s derby rescheduled

Because the U17 national team have qualified for the knockout stages, the derby between Schalke 04 and BVB in the A-Junior Bundesliga West originally scheduled for Saturday, 25 November, will be rescheduled. The U19 home match against SC Verl had already been rescheduled for Saturday, 17 December. In the UEFA Youth League, however, such changes are not possible, meaning that if the Germany U17s reach the quarter-finals in Indonesia, coach Mike Tullberg will have to make do without his three World Cup stars Brunner, Kabar and Herrmann in the away game against AC Milan on Tuesday, 28 November. (wiwi)
