New signing Marcel Sabitzer has arrived in San Diego. He signed his contract in Dortmund on Monday and got started with the BVB USA Tour on Tuesday afternoon.

One day after signing his contract, Marcel Sabitzer flew from Germany to the USA and linked up with his new team-mates. "I want to arrive as soon as possible, get to know the lads and build up a good connection with them. That's very important for me, we need a good team chemistry," he had said at the time of the transfer.

Sabitzer will be on the pitch with his new team-mates for the first time in the coming days. "What he's achieved in the past few years speaks for itself. I welcome him with open arms because I believe he provides added value for us. I also believe there will be a good harmony," explained fellow midfielder Julian Brandt in a media round. (cr)
