"Children's Wishes Campaign'' to take place with fan participation in 2021

At Christmas last year, the social restrictions imposed by the pandemic were incredibly restrictive, meaning interested BVB fans were unable to take part in the Christmas project "Aktion Kinderwünsche" (Children's Wishes Campaign) in the same way as in previous years. Fortunately, the project will be able to take place under normal conditions this Christmas.

In these last weeks of the year - and against the unfortunate backdrop of a renewed increase in Covid case numbers - everyone at BVB feels a great desire to provide as many Christmas moments as possible. That's why we are delighted to hear that BVB fans can once again take part in the "Children's Wishes Campaign".

Together with the non-profit association interAktion e.V., the BVB family is once again committed to helping children in Dortmund, who without a little extra help would face a less cheerful Christmas. Socially disadvantaged families in particular are not always in a position to be able to afford Christmas presents for their children. The ''Children's Wishes Campaign'' has been set up for these underprivileged children, of whom there are still unfortunately far too many in Dortmund. The project allows everyone to spread a little Christmas joy in the simplest of ways.

This year, the Christmas trees in the Dortmund fan shops, the BVB offices on Rheinlanddamm and at the training ground in Brackel are once again "decorated" with wish lists from children at risk of poverty. Once again, the wishes were collected by interAktion e.V. at various social institutions. This ensures it is wishes from disadvantaged children that hang on the Christmas trees.

As of now, all BVB fans are cordially invited to fulfil a child's wish from the envelopes. In keeping with the BVB Christmas motto "Borussia lights up", the Black & Yellow family can help to give Dortmund's children a great Christmas and ensure that children's eyes light up in joy

All those who would like to participate in the ''Children's Wishes Campaign'' are kindly reminded to respect the following rules:

-      Individual gifts should not exceed 25 euros in value
-      Please leave the gifts unwrapped
-      Please do not donate any used goods
-      Sweets or other food items can unfortunately not be donated
-      Gifts should be donated before 1 December at the BVB offices or any BVB fan shop in Dortmund

Each gift request slip has a number at the top and bottom right. This number must be noted on the gift, otherwise it cannot be assigned to the correct child.

Once again this year, a big thank you goes to the members of the BVB fan department, who are incredibly committed to the smooth organisation and implementation of the Christmas campaign.

Borussia Dortmund, the BVB foundation ''leuchte auf'' and the BVB fan department would like to wish everyone a happy Christmas time and say thank you to all BVB fans participating in the ''Children's Wishes Campaign''!
