Biggest championship celebration ever!
[15.05.] It was 11.37 a.m. when the yellow black championship truck started its journey from the Hoensch property to Borsigplatz. It marked the start of a day the city of Dortmund will never forget. The start of the biggest championship party of all time with 300,000 to 400,000 people on the streets, celebrating the new German champions on their way to the Westfalenhalle where another 100,000 fans gathered. morebild

A yellow and black party with 400,000 fans
[15.05.] Dortmund celebrated BVBīs German league title with a huge party. Approximately 400,000 fans flocked to the streets, the majority of them to the closed B1 motorway, with the highlight being the appearance of the team outside the Westfalenhalle. They took the stage at 4.50 p.m., and shortly Sebastian Kehl showed off the championship trophy to the fans. morebild

Shinji Kagawa on his comeback -
"I will never forget this day"
[15.05.] It was an emotional moment in the Bundesliga championsī season finale against Eintracht Frankfurt. For the first time since breaking his metatarsal, Shinji Kagawa, one of Borussia Dortmundīs top performers in the first half of the season, made an appearance as a substitute again. The Japanese player was overjoyed with his comeback and the title win. morebild

BVB celebrate league title - Rauball: "...and don´t go home too early!"
[14.05.] Borussia Dortmund celebrated their seventh German league title with a banquet with club officials and close friends, followed by a party at the Dortmund club and restaurant "View". And it was actually here were BVB coach Jürgen Klopp finally received his championship medal after they had run of them during the presentation ceremony in the stadium... morebild

Deutscher Meister 2011 - The "bowl" is back!
[14.05.] It was 5.41. p.m. when Roman Weidenfeller hoisted the "bowl" into the Dortmund sky and a black and yellow shower of confetti rained down on the pitch of the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. Chants of "Oh, wie ist das schön!" (How beautiful is this?) and "Who is Deutscher Meister" rang through the stadium when the team did their lap of honour. morebild

Emotional goodbye for Dede and Nuri Sahin
[14.05.] Even the sky cried on Saturday when Dede and Nuri Sahin were standing arm in arm on the pitch before Borussia Dortmund´s final Bundesliga game of the season against Eintracht Frankfurt. After more than 10 years in a BVB shirt, both players are leaving the club this summer. Sporting director Michael Zorc and chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke presented them with a bouquet of black and yellow sunflowers and pictures of their careers. morebild

Youngest champions ever win centenary title
[2.05.] On the night of 30 April 2011, Dortmund was one big party, a city in a state of collective elation. More than 100.000 people were on the streets to celebrate the 100th German champions since 1903. The youngest championship-winning side ever (average age of 24.2) also pulled an all-nighter and celebrated Borussia Dortmund´s seventh German league title at an Italian restaurant and a disco until six in the morning. morebild
