He started his third game for Borussia Dortmund this season, and for the third time Sokratis put in a convincing performance. Filling in for the suspended Hummels, BVB´s new signing helped his side beat Hannover 96 1-0 with a fine display in central defence.

Would a second goal have settled BVB´s nerves?
Yes, I would say so. An early second goal would have surely made life easier for us. It would have settled us down, and we could have played with more confidence.

What were the problems?
We lost a lot of tackles, especially in the second half and in the last 20 minutes. We found ourselves under pressure and didn´t play well.

But at the end of the day, you picked up three points...
Exactly, and that´s the most important thing. We won and we kept a clean sheet.
How would you sum up BVB´s defensive display?
There were a few things we didn´t do well in defence, and we also allowed them too much space. But again, we kept a clean sheet, hence we also have to look at our defensive display in a positive way.
