Eurosport to show BVB game in Cologne live on free TV
Eurosport will show the game between Cologne and Borussia Dortmund on the evening of Friday 2 February live on free TV. That means Bundesliga fans can watch the match in one of three ways: on the free TV channel Eurosport 1, via the Eurosport Player or via a live stream on eurosport.de.
In addition to the live game, Eurosport will offer football fans comprehensive matchday coverage featuring a top-quality punditry duo of Matthias Sammer and Jan Henkel, live on free TV. The pre-match coverage will begin from 19:30 CET, with kick-off for the live game starting at 20:30 CET. Marco Hagemann will be the match commentator.
Gernot Bauer, Head of Sports at Discovery in Germany, said: "Following all the positive feedback we received regarding our Bundesliga coverage, and in particular regarding our duo of Matthias Sammer and Jan Henkel, we want to show fans what makes our broadcasting stand out. The clash between Cologne and Dortmund offers us the perfect opportunity to show a live game together with detailed analysis and emotional highlights – in this case the return of Peter Stöger to his former club – both on the Eurosport Player and on free TV, thus reaching as many football fans as possible."
