Borussia Dortmund have won the first of two friendly during the international break, beating fifth-division SG Wattenscheid 09 5-0 (0-0) on Tuesday night. In front of a 1.400-strong crowd, Lucas Barrios scored four while Mohamed Zidan set up four goals.

The fans who only arrived for the second half of this charity match for the "Lichtblicke" initiative, made the right decision. In pouring rain and so poor pitch conditions,

the Bundesliga side struggled to cause a solid Wattenscheid defence problems in the first half. In the 41st minute, following a corner, BVB goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller was even forced to produce a stunning reflex save to keep his side on level terms.
"I told my team during the break to enjoy the game," said Jürgen Klopp afterwards. His players responded to his half-time speech with a much improved performance and five goals, some of them beautifully set up. In the 55th minute - similar to the goal against Gladbach - Lucas Barrios put BVB 1-0 up after a fine pass from Le Tallec. Three minutes later Barrios doubled the lead, this time picked out by Zidan.
Borussia now created chance after chance, but it took until the 75th minute before they scored their third goal of the night. Oscislawski, who was just brought on, found the net after a one-two with Zidan. Feulner was then denied by the crossbar,

but Barrios made it 4-0 in the 78th minute, after Zidan had danced past half of the Wattenscheid defence. Barrios and Zidan were also responsible for Borussia´s fifth goal in the 84th minute.
"The second half made up for the first one," said Klopp, who also praised Barrios and the hard-working Le Tallec, and he also allowed his players to have a Bratwurst: "I know from second-division times that you find the best Bratwurst in Wattenscheid..."
BVB have a second friendly on Friday, this time at fourth division 1. FC Saarbrücken. The game takes place at the Ludwigsparkstadion and is part of the transfer fee for Marc Ziegler. Kick-off is at 1800 CET.
