The jet-lag is still there. "I feel the five-hour time difference in every fibre of my body," said Lucas Barrios on his fourth day in Europe. He arrived on Saturday in Germany from Chile. On Sunday the first training with his new team-mates, on Tuesday the first game and also his first goal. The Argentinean was and still is the number one topic at BVB.

Congratulations from his team-mates: Tamas Hajnal and Nelson Valdez.

"It was a nice goal, very clinical. He moved around smoothly. I have seen a lot of good things from him," said Jürgen Klopp, who wants to give his new player time to acclimatize. "Lucas gradually has to find his way into the team. It´s secondary whether he starts on Saturday or not."
"I struggled a bit to get into the game. But after 15 minutes I felt comfortable with the game and with the system. But I have to get used to the quick transition from defence to offence. Overall I felt quite comfortable. My team-mates set me up well," he said via his interpreter, Paolo Rodriguez.
On the pitch he was verbally supported by his striking partner Nelson Valdez. "It goes without saying that you help somebody who comes from far away and doesn´t know the language. He asks me constantly what´s going on," said Valdez.

Barrios’ first goal: a lob over the goalkeeper .

Barrios put in a convincing performance in the friendly in Koblenz. "But we need a few more real games to get a better picture of him and get to know him better as a partner, "said Valdez and added, "It looked good. It says a lot that he scored the only goal. I´m looking forward to playing with him. I think we will have a really good team with him."
And what has Lucas Barrios planed for the future? "I will work hard to score goals for BVB. If I score the goals, I´m happy - if not, I´m just as happy as long as we get as many points as possible..."
