BVB are back - and this is also backed by the latest market research studies: Borussia Dortmund are Germany´s fourth most popular club among football fans and are also one of the fastest-rising clubs in the Bundesliga.

The Black ´n´ Yellows are becoming more and more popular. 25.09 million (48%) of Germans interested in football said they like BVB - 13 percent more than in 2007. These are the results of the Sportfive study SPORTFIVE FUSSBALLSTUDIE 2009 as well as current studies by SPORT+MARKT AG.

Regarding likeability and popularity, BVB also have potential in other European core markets, so the results of the international study: 129.1 million (74%) Europeans interested in football know BVB (a plus of 5% compared to 2007) and 39.75 million find the club likeable (plus 4% compared to 2007). These results, the successful second part of the season with seven wins on the trot and also the club´s overall appearance show that BVB are on course to build on successes of the past.
Jürgen Klopp, after Joachim Löw and Jürgen Klinsmann Germany´s third most popular coach, is also a key factor that Borussia Dortmund are regarded as much more likeable than in the last survey 2007. So Klopp has not only improved the image of the club among its own fans, but also among fans of other clubs. BVB are Germany´s fourth most popular club with a nationwide fan base of 3,68 million.

For the football fans in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and Saarland, BVB are the most likeable club.

In the German state of Northrhine-Westphalia 50 percent of those interested in football find Borussia Dortmund likeable - in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and Saarland, BVB are even the most likeable club. Overall, BVB can be seen as a domestic brand with many fans all over Germany.
