The season is over, and now a very special experience awaits BVB a good week after their last competitive outing. The Borussia assemblage set off on a brief trip to Los Angeles at noon on Sunday, departing from Dortmund airport and travelling via Munich. Christian Pulisic, Mario Götze and co. will play a friendly match against Los Angeles FC under the Californian sun on Wednesday (4:00 CEST).

The club, spearheaded by the Mexico national team superstar and former Arsenal pro Carlos Vela, began playing Major League Soccer this season, the top division in the United States, and is managed by former US national team manager Bob Bradley. The match will be held in the Banc of California stadium, and will be broadcast live on Borussia Dortmund's Facebook and YouTube channels.

Training at the UCLA

BVB will be hosted on the training pitches of the famous University of California on Monday already, where Peter Stöger will conduct a training session. Furthermore, a number of events involving BVB's sponsors are also scheduled for the three days. They will take place at the Hollywood Sign, Warner Bros. Studios and Santa Monica Pier, and the BVB players will be supported by BVB Ambassador Patrick Owomoyela at them. The squad and support staff are expected back in Dortmund on Thursday. (jpk)
