All signs suggest that live atmosphere could be back at football stadiums as early as next weekend. If, as expected on Wednesday afternoon, the NRW state government has issued a new Coronavirus Protection Regulation with a corresponding passage on large-scale national events in the open air, football clubs such as Borussia Dortmund will once again be allowed to play their home games in front of a maximum of 10,000 spectators.

For BVB specifically, in the short term, this would include the coming home game on Sunday afternoon against Bayer Leverkusen. In this case, it is planned – provided that the Regulation has officially entered into force by then – that the ticket sales for the public areas will start at 10:00 CET on Thursday morning. Initially, tickets will be available exclusively to season ticket holders and members of Borussia Dortmund. From 12:00 CET onwards, all fans should be able to try to purchase tickets in the online shop – under the following conditions:

You can purchase up to four tickets per order. Only seated tickets will be available. The seating arrangement in SIGNAL IDUNA PARK will return to the well-known four-seat chequerboard pattern, with the 10,000 seats distributed among the four lower tiers as well as the north upper tier. Tickets are issued exclusively as Print@home tickets.

Admission to the stadium is subject to the 2G plus rule, which also includes tickets that have already been issued on the basis of the pre-determined capacity of only 750 spectators and are still valid.

We will inform you in detail at the beginning of next week about the rules for BVB's subsequent home games against Glasgow Rangers in the Europa League (17.2) and Borussia Mönchengladbach (20.2).
