The reactions to the match and reaching the final from Hans-Joachim Watzke, Sebastian Kehl, Edin Terzic, Emre Can, Mats Hummels, Marco Reus, Julian Brandt and Nico Schlotterbeck.

Hans-Joachim Watzke: "From the 80th minute onwards, I had the feeling: this is Manchester in '97. At that moment, it was clear to me: there would be no more goals here. The team performed great. I'm unbelievably happy and I'm delighted for Mats. We're both in the closing stages of our careers. With that in mind, we both no longer necessarily expected we would get to Wembley. I'm incredibly happy for Edin. Last year we came within a whisker of the league title; now we're in the Champions League final. It's great what he's doing. He works extremely meticulously. We know what we have in each other."

Sebastian Kehl: "It takes a moment to realise that we've beaten PSG in both matches and will be going to Wembley again. We also had the right match plan today. I could see the hunger and the fire in their eyes. We had to give it everything. All hell has broken loose in the dressing room. What the lads have achieved in this competition deserves every respect. We have beaten a team that has invested hundreds of millions in order to win this title. But we're going to Wembley. We absolutely want to take this final step."

Edin Terzic: "It will still take a little while before it sinks in for us, but the joy is already extremely great. We've grown with every match. We wanted to be the team that people didn't necessarily have on their radar. The route has been incredible. We knew that games like today are frequently opened up or decided by set-pieces. Mats took it outstandingly well."

Emre Can: "After Matchday 2, barely anyone still believed in us, we only had a point then. But we believed in ourselves and that was the important thing. Everyone fought for each other. You have to work hard to keep two clean sheets against Paris. We're therefore deservedly in the final. We had an incredible energy on the pitch and also a little bit of luck which we made happen. We've performed extraordinarily well in the Champions League but unfortunately we haven't always in the Bundesliga."

Mats Hummels: "From the way he had defended against me at the corner beforehand, I knew that I could somehow get the space. It worked wonderfully. Jule delivered the ball perfectly onto my head. We will – regardless of whom – face a very strong opponent. It will also be a battle with the atmosphere and with the significance of the match. But we already dealt well with that today. Since the second game in the group stage, we've believed that we can compete in the Champions League. There is no reason whatsoever for us not to believe that we can win the final too."

Marco Reus: "What a week for me. Qualification for the final again. Wembley, where everything started for me in 2013. We had to suffer a great deal today. Ousmane and Achraf applied a lot of tempo down the flank. But we did it! Tomorrow nobody will be asking about the how anymore, it will just be the name Borussia Dortmund standing there and that is the only thing that counts. Now we need to lift the cup too. After the group draw, nobody expected we'd be going to Wembley again."

Julian Brandt: "I'm extremely excited for the final. We've qualified for a new experience. It's not over yet. There's no point in losing this game now. We watched a lot of scenes before the match. Those corners were deliberate. It was clear that Mats would go to the back post because there would be a lot of space there. Mats not only had an important impact with his goal, but also with his defensive performance."

Nico Schlotterbeck: "We've passed with flying colours. It's extraordinary to have kept two clean sheets against Paris. Of course, one can talk about the post and the bar. Football is a results sport. It was a top defensive performance for 180 minutes and we scored the goals from a small number of chances. I looked at the scoreboard every minute after the goal for 1-0, but time wasn't elapsing. It was one attack after the other; we had to clear everything away, couldn't get out of our box and had hardly any reprieve. We did a great job collectively and Greg made a great save in the 85th minute. Regardless of how we won: the main thing is that we did it."
