A Borussia Dortmund player has been named the Bundesliga Player of the Month for the third time in succession. After Julian Brandt won the award in both January and February, Raphael Guerreiro has now followed suit in March.

Thanks to the votes from players, fans and experts, Guerreiro was last week voted the "Bundesliga Player of the Month" for March. Having exclusively played at left-back throughout the season, the 29-year-old lined up in midfield for all of his Bundesliga appearances in March. Guerreiro notched a goal and an assist in the 2-2 draw with Schalke, which he followed up with a goal and two assists in the 6-1 home victory against Cologne. After the international break, the Portugal international registered another assist in the 4-2 defeat in Munich.

Guerreiro beat off competition from Jeremie Frimpong (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Erhan Masovic (VfL Bochum), Marius Bülter (FC Schalke 04), Exequiel Palacios (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) and Omar Marmoush (VfL Wolfsburg) to win the vote.

The award, which is presented by the German Football League (DFL) in cooperation with EA Sports, therefore goes to Dortmund once again.
