BVB midfielder Tamas Hajnal has suffered a torn ligament in his left ankle. The diagnosis was made by club medic Dr Markus Braun following an examination at the BG Unfallklinik hospital in Duisburg on Monday.

The 28-year-old Hungarian likely picked up the injury in the Bundesliga game against Mönchengladbach on 3 October. He joined the Hungarian national team straight after the match, but the injury prevented him from playing in the World Cup qualifier against Portugal.
According to Dr Braun, Tamas Hajnal´s injury can either be treated conservatively or surgically. The Hungarian will consult a ligament specialist before a decision is made. At any rate, coach Jürgen Klopp and Borussia Dortmund will have to do without the midfielder for some time.
