"We certainly didn´t set the world alight today. But to be frank that isn´t too surprising when you consider the situation at both clubs going into this game," said Juergen Klopp in the aftermath of his team´s 1-0 victory in Moenchengladbach. Director of Sport, Michael Zorc spoke of "the end of a results crisis" while right back Patrick Owomoyela added "We kept our nerves keeping a clean sheet and scoring the all important goal."

Juergen Klopp:"I am relieved and very pleased with my team that we got that result. We certainly didn´t set the world alight today.

But to be frank that isn´t too surprising when you consider the situation of both clubs going into this game. Our young team dealt with the pressure well and managed to keep a compact shape resisting the temptation to hit too many long balls. We scored one and didn´t concede, doing all we needed to. We showed our fans that we are able to cope with the most difficult situations."
Michael Frontzeck: "It´s a bitter pill to swallow, but you can´t deny the team´s spirit, they tried so hard but it was all a bit of a struggle. We are going through a difficult patch but we won´t shy away from the task. You can see that that early form is now a long way away and it was almost typical that the first shot of the day promptly flew in."
Michael Zorc: "It wasn´t pretty to watch and you could tell from the game where the teams were in the table. We´ve been going through a results crisis where we have been leaking goals through lapses in concentration.

Today we were unable to press home our advantage which meant we were quite jittery at times."
Patrick Owomoyela: "You could tell how important this game was for both teams. We were pretty solid at the back and are pleased that we were able to convert that one chance. We kept our nerves keeping a clean sheet and scoring that all important goal. The points are the only things that count." (br)
