Borussia Dortmund will be looking to continue their "good spells in recent matches" and finally end their winless run when they host Werder Bremen at a sold-out Signal Iduna Park on Saturday (15:30 CET).

"It's a very important match. We're still waiting for the turnaround. We need a victory to make that happen," said Peter Bosz, before emphasising: "We have to win at home tomorrow."

There can be little doubt that Werder Bremen are a team on the up since they changed coaches, and that Max Kruse has been largely responsible for the Green & Whites' moments of magic this term. But "Bremen are not a one-man team," Bosz declared – quite rightly. "We do not have a man-marking system. The team needs to do that together," the Dutchman explained.

There was a lot of talk about systems and playing styles – the coach sees fundamental differences between the two – at the press conference. "We have an attacking philosophy, which can be implemented with a back three or a back four," said the Dutchman, adding that "defending well, but also playing good football with the ball" is crucial. The clashes with Schalke (4-4), Leverkusen (1-1) and Madrid (3-2) might not have produced a victory, but there were "good spells". Now the Black & Yellows need consistency – for the full 90 minutes.

Jeremy Toljan (suspension) and Jadon Sancho (not eligible to play in Madrid) could return to the squad, although there are doubts surrounding the involvement of Marc Bartra, who was forced off with a groin injury in Spain. (br)
