On Friday evening (19:00 CET), Borussia Dortmund's U23s will welcome SC Verl at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK for the last home match of the current Drittliga season. For the Black and Yellows, it is a chance to further extend their own points record, while Verl are fighting for vital points in the relegation battle.

Thanks to the three points from the 3-1 away victory at 1. FC Kaiserslautern, the Black and Yellows overtook SV Wehen Wiesbaden to climb to eighth place in the table. Seventh place in the table is still mathematically possible, but that spot is currently held by 1. FC Saarbrücken. The Saarlanders are two points ahead with two matches remaining. But it is already the most successful season in the history of the BVB second team in the third tier, with the Black and Yellows having amassed an impressive 49 points.

For their opponents SC Verl, Friday night is about securing vital points to help them stay in the third tier. The side from East Westphalia sit top of the relegation zone and are one point from safety. The other NRW clubs Duisburg and Cologne are joined in the relegation battle by Hallesche FC and Viktoria Berlin. BVB's next opponents are heading into the final two weeks of the season riding high on some excellent form. Most recently, coach Michél Kniat's team had two impressive victories against Saarbrücken and Wiesbaden, with Ron Berlinski heavily involved. The striker has really taken off at the end of the season and has struck six goals in the past five matches.

Advance ticket sales are underway for the game at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK and can also be purchased at the ticket office on Friday evening. Both standing tickets and seats are available.
