Having undergone surgery for a broken ankle and watched the first 14 competitive matches of the season from the sidelines, Raphael Guerreiro finally returned to action in Magdeburg. "Of course, I'm not yet back to 100 percent in terms of running but that will improve bit by bit," said the 23-year-old in an interview with BVBtotal!.

Raphael, you finally made your comeback in Magdeburg. How was it?
"I'm very happy to have played again. I felt good and everything went well on the pitch. It was a relatively difficult match. Magdeburg are a strong third-division side. Winning there by such a clear margin is not that easy."

You've had a long period which has not been so easy for you. You were injured for a long time and have slowly had to fight your way back. How difficult was that really?
"It was a difficult time. But I'm very happy to have finally made my comeback. I feel good again now. At this point I would like to express my thanks to the club staff, who gave me great support."

You say that you're feeling good. How long do you think it'll be before you're back to normal?
"Of course, I'm not yet at 100 percent in terms of running but that will improve bit by bit. I need to build it back up. Nonetheless, I will now try to be there when the coach needs me." (djg)
