DFL sets fixtures until end of season, no more Monday matches for BVB
The German Football League (DFL) has completed the domestic calendar by finalising the times and dates of all remaining fixtures in the 2017/18 season. Europa League participants Borussia Dortmund face several Sunday games – but no more Monday matches.
Regarding the fixture on Matchday 33 – BVB will play host to Mainz 05 in the penultimate round – the DFL announced: "On Matchdays 33 and 34, all nine Bundesliga matches are usually played in parallel on the Saturday. But should RB Leipzig and/or Borussia Dortmund be involved in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday 3 May 2018, the DFL reserves the right to postpone the Matchday 33 fixtures "RB Leipzig Vs VfL Wolfsburg" and/or "Borussia Dortmund Vs 1. FSV Mainz 05" until a day later, Sunday 6 May 2018. A decision on this matter shall be made immediately after the quarter-finals in the European club competitions, which take place in mid-April."
