The match-winner in the victory over Leverkusen was Paco Alcácer, who rounded off an impressive team display by scoring the third and fourth goals. It was the first time since 1982 BVB have won after being 2-0 down at the break! Here are the match facts.

Second-quickest: Paco Alcácer has now scored three goals in his first two Bundesliga games and has found the net with three of his four shots. The Spaniard only took 50 minutes to reach three goals – the only player in the top-flight to have reached that number quicker was Leverkusen's Joel Pohjanpalo two years ago (30 minutes).

Historic comeback: The last time BVB won after being 2-0 down was in Stuttgart in March 2014, but you have to look way further back for their last comeback from 2-0 down at half-time. That came in May 1982, when BVB beat VfL Bochum by a 3-2 scoreline.

Top provider: Jadon Sancho has made a substitute appearance in every game and has set up six goals. That means the 18-year-old has the most assists in the division.

Super subs: A substitute has been involved in 11 of the 19 goals BVB have scored this season (five goals, six assists).

Unbeaten: BVB have extended their unbeaten run to eight competitive matches this season and celebrated their first Bundesliga away win under Lucien Favre. Only Thomas Tuchel has kicked off his tenure with a longer unbeaten run.

Second-best BVB attack: With 19 goals scored, Borussia Dortmund currently have the best attack in the league. Only in 1994/95 have BVB scored more goals after six rounds of matches (20).

Leading by example: Marco Reus set up the first BVB goal with a volley before scoring the equaliser himself. That goal was already his fourth of the season – a figure only bettered by Duda of Hertha Berlin. Reus has never scored more goals in the first six matches of a season in his career and he now has more scorer points to his name (eight: four goals, four assists) than any other player in the division!

More scorer points than appearances: Jacob Bruun Larsen has been involved in four goals (two goals, two assists) in his three appearances this season. After opening his account against Nuremberg a few days ago, the 19-year-old Dane has now scored his first away goal.

Precious away win: They might have won away in the Champions League (1-0 in Bruges), but this was the first time Borussia Dortmund have won away in the Bundesliga in seven months.

Young team: Lucien Favre fielded the youngest team of his tenure to date (average age 23.95 years). The last time such a young line-up started for BVB was in Darmstadt in February 2017 (23.58 years).
