Borussia Dortmund have taken 29 out of a possible 42 points from their previous 14 meetings with FC Augsburg. Here we have compiled all the info on Saturday's home game at Signal Iduna Park (kick-off 15:30 CET) in the usual compact format.

The scenario: Eighth-placed Augsburg have only failed to find the net in one of their previous 10 matches, although they have always conceded at least once on each occasion. League leaders Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile, are the only club still yet to taste defeat (seven wins and two draws in all competitions). BVB have the lowest defeat percentage against Augsburg – only one in 14, or 7 percent, of their matches have ended in defeat – but their last two meetings in Dortmund have finished 1-1. FCA have taken points from four of their last five visits to the Strobelallee.

Home/away: Borussia Dortmund have won all three of their home games this season, scoring 14 and conceding two, while FC Augsburg have only claimed victory in one of their last seven away matches – a 2-1 triumph in Düsseldorf on 25 August. That said, their 1-1 draw in Munich showed they are no pushover on the road!

Personnel matters: BVB will be without Pulisic (torn fibres), Schmelzer (knee problems), Kagawa (bruised ankle), Toprak (torn fibres), Toljan (muscular problems) and Rode (calf), while FCA are missing Jakob, Stafylidis, Schieber (all fitness) and Ji (knee).

Head-to-head: BVB have only lost once in 14 encounters with FCA. Only Bayern Munich have scored more goals against Augsburg (38) than Borussia Dortmund (33). Moreover, three of the five Bundesliga matches that the Swabians have lost by a margin of at least four goals have come at the hands of the Black & Yellows, who have twice won 4-0 and once triumphed 5-1.

Statistics: Borussia Dortmund have taken points from a losing position on three occasions this term, and no team have fielded more players under the age of 21 than BVB (five). FC Augsburg have only failed to find the net on one of their last 10 outings.

Biggest home win: A Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hat-trick and a Marco Reus brace sealed a 5-1 victory for BVB over FCA on 25 October 2015.

Referee: Markus Schmidt, a 45-year-old from Stuttgart, will oversee his 13th game involving BVB. His last was the 4-0 home victory over Bayer Leverkusen in spring 2018.

Attendance: Some seats in and around the North Stand will still be available for purchase from the away ticket office from 13:00 CET on the day of the match and will also be sold to visitors wearing neutral clothing.
