The disappointment was palpable amongst the BVB squad, after a goalless draw against Bruges. They would have loved to have celebrated a victory with the fans and topped Group A of the UEFA Champions League.

After having a night to distance himself, to look at everything from "another angle", Sports Director Michael Zorc has weighed everything up and is happy with the overall performances. "We can be happy that we qualified for the next round with a game still to play in the group stage. We have a good away record in the Champions League and we won the direct duels against both Atletico Madrid and Club Bruges. I'm sure that we can do the same thing against Monaco." He went on to say, "If someone had said that to us at the beginning, that we'd have ten points after five matches, we'd have signed up for that!"
