Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund has handed long-term professional contracts to two of its talented youngsters: 18-year-old Luca Unbehaun and 19-year-old Tobias Raschl.

Both Unbehauen, one of the most talented young German goalkeepers, and Raschl, a captain and midfield metronome, are key performers for the U19 team that currently top the table in their age category. In addition, they have trained regularly with the Bundesliga team under coach Lucien Favre.

"I'm delighted that we're promoting another two talented youngsters from our own academy to the professional squad and thus continuing to promote talent from within," said youth coordinator Lars Ricken. The 1997 Champions League winner, himself an academy graduate, said: "The development of these two players shows that we in Dortmund keep tabs internationally, but also maintain a significant interest in promoting our own players to the professional squad."

Unbehaun and Raschl have both penned deals keeping them at BVB until 30 June 2022.
