Wednesday sees the German national team play host to Argentina in Dortmund. SIGNAL IDUNA PARK will open its doors to fans at 18:45 CET, with kick-off at 20:45 CET.

Due to the high volume of traffic, special trains will be in operation for the international match. It is recommended to travel to the game early.

Arrival

In addition to the scheduled RB 52, RB 53 and RB 59 trains, there will be special trains running from the following directions:

  • two trains from Hamm/Unna
  • one train from Hagen/Schwerte

Furthermore, the trains on the line RE 57 (from Brilon/Winterberg) will make an additional stop at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK prior to kick-off.

Departure

In addition to the scheduled RE 57, RB 52, RB 53 and RB 59 trains, which will depart after the final whistle with additional seating on board, there will be special football trains leaving SIGNAL IDUNA PARK for the following directions:

  • one train towards Schwerte/Hagen
  • one train towards Schwerte/Iserlohn
  • two trains towards Unna/Hamm
  • one train towards Soest/Paderborn
  • one train towards Lüne

Moreover, there will be an additional train running from Hagen to Lüdenscheid. Go to the NWL and Deutsche Bahn AG homepages to find the precise times of all trains.

Validity of the CombiTicket

The NWL would like to highlight that the tickets for BVB matches only entitle the holder to free travel within the VRR area of operation. These tickets will therefore only be valid for travel in the urban area of Dortmund or Hagen if you are travelling from the Ruhr-Lippe region.
