A total of 15 Borussia Dortmund players have been called up by their national team coaches for the upcoming international break. Jude Bellingham (England) and Giovanni Reyna (USA) have been named in their respective nations' senior squads for the first time.

Both the German (Brandt, Dahoud, Schulz) and Belgian (Hazard, Meunier, Witsel) national teams have called up three Dortmund players. The latter trio will go up against one of their team-mates at club level in each of their three games: Manuel Akanji (Switzerland), Jadon Sancho (England) and Thomas Delaney (Denmark).

Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the rising infection rates, the German Football Federation (DFB) has decided to cancel all youth international matches until the end of the year. Only the Germany U21s, who still have fixtures to fulfil in European Championship qualifying, will be in action. Felix Passlack has been called up by the U21s. (cr)
