On Friday morning, Borussia Dortmund departed Dortmund Airport for St. Gallen-Altenrhein. The Black & Yellows will be met there by team buses to take them to Bad Ragaz, where they will stay until 23 July to lay the foundations for the new season.

The players that will attend the training camp are Karim Adeyemi, Manuel Akanji, Jude Bellingham, Julian Brandt, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Emre Can, Soumaila Coulibaly, Mahmoud Dahoud, Raphael Guerreiro, Sebastien Haller, Thorgan Hazard, Mats Hummels, Abdoulaye Kamara, Gregor Kobel, Marcel Lotka, Donyell Malen, Thomas Meunier, Youssoufa Moukoko, Alexander Meyer, Mateu Morey, Salih Özcan, Felix Passlack, Giovanni Reyna, Marco Reus, Tom Rothe, Nico Schlotterbeck, Nico Schulz, Niklas Süle and Marius Wolf.

"The training will consist of a mix of fitness, conditioning, leg strength and explosiveness. In addition, we will rehearse tactical procedures and automatic sequences," Mats Hummels said of the focal points at the training camp. "It's about getting to know each other even better. This is always where the groundwork for a successful season is done."

This will be the 12th season in a row that Borussia Dortmund have travelled to Bad Ragaz in Switzerland. BVB coach Edin Terzic will hold 12 training sessions – the first of which will take place this afternoon (approx. 16:30 CET) – at the "Ri-Au" sports complex. There will also be two friendlies against Valencia (18 July, 19:00 CET) and Villarreal (22 July, 19:00 CET) in Altach, Austria. BVB-TV by 1&1 will broadcast the public training sessions and both matches live. (cr)
