Hans-Joachim Watzke, Edin Terzic and Marco Reus all reacted to the Champions League draw. "We're looking forward to this group, even though we definitely didn't get the easiest draws from the respective pots," Terzic said.

Hans-Joachim Watzke (Chief executive officer): "If you're in pot three, then it's already clear before the draw that you're going to get a very strong Champions League group. The task is of course challenging, but not unsolvable. You don't have to be a prophet to predict that the matches against Sevilla could certainly play an important role. But you also need to win both games against Copenhagen as well."

Edin Terzic (Head coach): "We're looking forward to this group, even though we definitely didn't get the easiest draws from the respective pots and our concentration is on the Bundesliga for now. Man City are the absolute favourites, not only in the Premier League but in the Champions League too. But we played some really good games against City and Sevilla not all that long ago, they were all very tight. And Copenhagen will also be a real challenge as the Danish champions. We will be reunited with former BVB players such as Erling Haaland, Ilkay Gündogan and Thomas Delaney in this group. We're really looking forward to that too."

Marco Reus (Team captain): "Manchester City are of course a force to be reckoned with in the Champions League. We're looking forward to it just as much as we are to the reunion with Erling Haaland. We won in Seville in 2021 and performed really well. Copenhagen are Danish champions and the city is also a really cool travel destination for our fans of course."
