Borussia's Junior Bundesliga teams have tough away trips coming up this weekend.

Following 1. FC Cologne's surprising 2-1 defeat at the hands of RW Oberhausen, the U19s sit top of the pile ahead of their trip to face an ambitious Paderborn side (8/10, 13:00 CET). The East Westphalians have won plaudits over the course of the season, notably for their 4-1 victory against Bayer Leverkusen. Regeneration has been the priority for BVB following their 1-1 draw at Sevilla in the UEFA Youth League. Mike Tullberg will make several changes to the team. Prince Aning will miss out with an ankle injury.

The fact that BVB and Schalke 04 are the top two in the B-Junior Bundesliga West after seven rounds of matches was to be expected. But what was not expected was that Arminia Bielefeld would be their closest challengers after the first few weeks of the season. Borussia's U17s will travel to Waldstadion Quelle on Saturday (kick-off 13:00 CET). Coach Karsten Gorges is expecting a tight game. His charges were recently in strong form as they won 5-0 away to Fortuna Cologne and will travel to Bielefeld in optimistic mood. Kjell Wätjen will return to the starting line-up. (wiwi)
