Borussia Dortmund will play their last away match of the UEFA Champions League group stages against FC Copenhagen on 2 November. As the game has been classified as a "high-risk match", we are already informing you about planned measures ahead of the advance sale of tickets.

Due to the incidents that took place at the reverse fixture in Dortmund on 6 September – when violent clashes occurred inside and outside the stadium – Borussia Dortmund are working intensively with FC Copenhagen to prepare for the return fixture. The game has been classified as a "high-risk match" by both clubs as well as by the German and Danish police forces. Measures have therefore been planned in a bid to reduce the risk of further violent clashes.

Tickets for the match will go on advance sale to club members via the BVB Online Shop on Tuesday 18 October (11:00 CET). Each club member may purchase a maximum of two tickets. Due to the suspended sentence imposed on BVB by UEFA as a result of the incidents at the reverse fixture, Borussia Dortmund have been forced to take the step of personalising match tickets. As a result, the name on the ticket will be checked on location against the name of the ticket user. For this reason, the second ticket user must also be a Borussia Dortmund member.

Due to the dangerous situation, Borussia Dortmund will publish information for all travelling supporters in the run-up to the game recommending that they do not identify themselves as BVB fans in the Copenhagen area. Even though we are always proud to show our black and yellow all around the world, it cannot be guaranteed that there will not be any provocations or even threats of violence against unsuspecting fans at and around this match due to the extreme rivalry between individual elements of both fan bases.

The aforementioned procedure constitutes an absolute exception for Borussia Dortmund. In light of the dangerous situation, BVB feel responsible for taking preventative measures to make sure that all BVB fans making the journey to the away game in Copenhagen are able to attend the match in as safe an environment as possible. We therefore ask for your understanding with regard to our actions. Information on further measures will follow.

Borussia Dortmund has also been informed that the Copenhagen police have submitted a request to UEFA for the match to take place without away fans due to security reasons. Even though UEFA have not yet made a decision on this matter, the advance sale is still being prepared for Tuesday due to time constraints. We will make an announcement about the decision as soon as we find out ourselves.
