The BVB first-team squad will make the trip back to Dortmund on Saturday. Speaking on Friday, head coach Edin Terzic took stock of training camp and discussed Sebastien Haller's hat-trick as well as the injuries to Thomas Meunier and Raphael Guerreiro.

Edin Terzic on the match against Basel:
"We are happy with a lot of things from the game today, but not everything. We will deal with that at some point. We had a bit of trouble getting into the game in the first period of 30 minutes, we weren't quite strong enough in the tackle and we didn't stay compact enough. Nevertheless, we managed to prevent them from scoring. It's the end of training camp. The lads have put in a lot of hard and intense work. Still, when they are on the pitch, we expect them to play with even more commitment. That worked really well from the second period onwards."

…Sebastien Haller:
"You could see how much good it did him to score the penalty. The boys were happy for him when he scored the first goal. That often makes things feel easier on the pitch. You could see the quality he has in the opposition penalty area. To help get him into those positions, we set out to work on our set-pieces. Today we played against a zonal defence, who kept a really tight shape, so that meant Sebastien had a bit of space to get his shot off. But the shot was exceptional, of course."

…training camp:
"We worked very intensively, you could feel that throughout the sessions. There was a really good atmosphere and a lot of noise. We were happy about that. We tried to rehearse a few things here. You could see some of them in action today. A few things didn't work so well. We will work on that as well. We managed to defend compactly even when we were on the attack. We adopted a man-oriented defence to win the ball back with counter-pressing. That worked well. When you saw how we pressed on opposition throw-ins, how many balls we won from them, that was good. We managed to create good chances from corners in both games and also scored twice. That's something we're very happy about."

…the 4-1-4-1 formation:
"It's not the first time we've done this, we also opted for this formation in the games against Man City, Sevilla and Bayern, for example. We are able to play different variants of this system. You can play it with two number eights or with two tens, depending on what is needed at the time. We have a number of players who can be deployed in the middle of the park. The system suits the team, and it's from this system that we've managed to improve the performances a little bit."

…the injured players:
"We still have to wait and see with Thomas Meunier. There will be a final examination this evening, then we will know more. With Rapha Guerreiro it was a precautionary measure. He was supposed to take part in every aspect of training yesterday. But then he signalled that he felt some pain, and it was decided that it would be too risky for him to play with a view to next week. We hope that he will be able to return to action next week and be available for selection."
