Moritz Broschinski is set to join Bundesliga club VfL Bochum from Borussia Dortmund's U23s with immediate effect.

The 22-year-old centre-forward completed a transfer to the BVB U23s from Energie Cottbus in the summer of 2020 and has made 33 appearances for the BVB reserves over the past two and a half years. A broken foot in the summer of 2020 and a muscle bundle tear in the spring of 2021 kept the talented attacker sidelined for long spells. He has scored three times in 15 appearances for coach Christian Preusser's side this season, making him the U23s' top scorer.

"We're crossing our fingers for Mo that he stays injury-free and finds his way in the Bundesliga," said Ingo Preuss, the U23s' sporting director, in a farewell message to the striker.
