Borussia Dortmund's legends are set for an occasion to remember on 26 May: the Black & Yellows will travel to Glasgow to face Celtic in a friendly match which will see two great clubs with a rich history meet at Celtic Park.

Tradition, a breathtaking atmosphere and the melody of "You'll Never Walk Alone" ringing out before home games - just three of the many characteristics that BVB and Celtic have in common. The last competitive match between the Black & Yellows and the 53-time Scottish champions was over 30 years ago (November 1992), and now numerous well-known players from the history of both clubs will face each other at Celtic Park on 26 May (kick-off at 14:00, 15:00 German time).

Led by coaches Jörg Heinrich, Norbert Dickel and Teddy de Beer, world champions, Champions League winners, Bundesliga champions and DFB-Pokal winners such as Roman Weidenfeller, Karl-Heinz Riedle, Marcel Schmelzer and Dede will be travelling to Scotland to represent Borussia Dortmund on the pitch.

Ex-Black & Yellow Paul Lambert, who was part of BVB's 1997 Champions League triumph in Munich, will be particularly pleased. After his time at BVB, Lambert spent eight years at Celtic, where he won a total of four Scottish league titles. A decorated player for both clubs, he will rotate between the legends' teams during the match, playing for both BVB and Celtic.

Borussia Dortmund's trip to the Scottish port city will bring back wonderful memories: Glasgow is the place where a momentous moment in the club's 113-year history occurred. On 5 May 1966, BVB won the European Cup Winners' Cup at Hampden Park thanks to a 2-1 (a.e.t.) victory over Liverpool.

Tickets for the match are now available in Celtic's online ticket shop. After clicking on the link and creating an account with an email address and password, BVB fans can purchase tickets in blocks 119 and 120. Information on advance ticket sales will follow in the coming days. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners Evonik and Rowe for their support.
