Borussia Dortmund will kick off their 2014/15 Bundesliga campaign at Signal Iduna Park to Bayer 04 Leverkusen on 22 or 23 August. It’s already the third time in the “Klopp era” that the Black n Yellows meet the works club in the opening match of the season.

In 2008, BVB picked up a 3-2 win at Leverkusen, and in 2010 they lost 2-1 at home to Bayer in their opening game. Borussia Dortmund’s final game of the season will also be at home, with SV Werder Bremen coming to Signal Iduna Park on 23 May 2015.

On Matchday 2 (29 to 31 August), BVB will be traveling to FC Augsburg. They play both the Derby against Schalke (Matchday 6) and the top match against FC Bayern (Matchday 10) away in the first half of the season, while all three mid-week fixtures will be at home.

Ahead of the start of the season, Borussia Dortmund will take on FC Bayern Munich in the Super Cup on Wednesday, 13 August, with the game at Signal Iduna Park kicking off at 1800 CET.

The exact dates and times of the first fixtures will be announced by the end of next week, but as Mainz 05 and Borussia Mönchengladbach are playing Europe League qualifiers on Thursday, it’s likely that BVB’s match against Leverkusen will be scheduled for Saturday.
