International interest in Borussia Dortmund continues to run high. The same applies for the BVB Evonik Soccer School, which has developed an increasing number of young footballers in recent years and hopes to give even more participants from all over the world the chance to take part in this intensive football experience this year.

Poland is no exception, with the Soccer School now set to offer new courses in four different locations in the homeland of BVB stars Jakub Blaszczykowski and Lukasz Piszczek. Carsten Cramer, the Director of Sales and Marketing, recently presented BVB's activities in Katowice: in addition to the locations of Piszczek's hometown club LKS Goczalkowice Zdrój and the German-Polish School in Warsaw, there will be an inter-cultural course in the border region of Frankfurt Oder/Slubice. Local companies are also showing an increased interest in cooperating with the BVB Soccer School: drinks manufacturer Oshee is on board as a partner and is organising the fourth new course in Poland.

"We particularly want to be active as a Soccer School in those countries which show a special interest in Borussia Dortmund. However, it is equally important for us to give our many foreign fans a taste of BVB in its home environment and to combine this with intensive training sessions on the training ground in Strobelallee," said Kai Kuhlmann, the Leader of the Evonik Soccer School.

Such was the experience of Sota Kihara from Japan, who was invited to Dortmund by the Soccer School last week alongside other young athletes from Newfield and Caterham (England). The 12-year-old experienced a Black and Yellow week at its most intense, with training sessions with the BVB youth teams as well as in "Footbonauts". In addition, Sota also fulfilled a lifelong dream by accompanying his hero Shinji Kagawa onto the pitch at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK prior to the home match against FSV Mainz 05.
