The first international break of the year will see 11 members of the BVB first-team squad depart on international duty. Niclas Füllkrug has been called up by Germany. 

Several of the fixtures will see BVB players go head-to-head. Germany face a Netherlands side featuring Donyell Malen, while Salih Özcan (Turkey) and Marcel Sabitzer (Austria) will also face off for their countries.

Youssoufa Moukoko (Germany U21), Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (England U21), Ian Maatsen (Netherlands U21) and Julien Duranville (Belgium U20) will be competing in the European Championship qualifiers.
