Silas Ostrzinski, 18, has extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund. The Hagen native will be part of coach Enrico Maassen's U23 squad next season.

Ostrzinski has been playing in the Borussia Dortmund youth system since the summer of 2018 and has made 39 competitive appearances between the sticks. The 1.98m-tall goalkeeper has only conceded two goals in the A-Junior Bundesliga this season and made several saves in the penalty shootout victory against Manchester United to help the club reach the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals. Recently, he joined fellow BVB goalkeepers Marian Kirsch (also U19s), Robin Lisewski and Marlin Zacharias (both U17s) at the DFB Elite Camp in Bad Gögging, Bavaria.

"We're very pleased that Silas is going to continue his development with us. He has made good progress this season and has produced some outstanding performances, especially in the Youth League matches. I am happy that he'll be part of our goalkeeping team next season," U23 team manager Ingo Preuss said of the contract extension.
