Sporting director Sebastian Kehl, head coach Edin Terzic and players Mats Hummels and Gregor Kobel gave their views on the 4-2 home victory over 1. FC Union Berlin. The match reactions.

Edin Terzic (at the press conference): "It was a difficult first half with very many and very long interruptions to the game. That made it difficult to keep up the match tempo. We had set out to create tempo via the flanks and to get the lads in two-on-one situations there. We then switched things around slightly and seized the control in the second period. We're satisfied with the second half and with the result."

Mats Hummels (to Sky): "The first half was strange with the many long video reviews. There were only set-piece goals which were then ruled out. There wasn't much from open play at both ends. We performed brilliantly in the second half. I'm one of those who criticises a lot when there is something to criticise. But that was good. And when the fans see that we want it and fight, then there's an incredible exchange of energy here. It then turned into an excellent half."

Gregor Kobel (in the mixed zone): "We played a super game in the second half and performed great. The coach rightly went for it in the changing rooms at half-time. Up until then, it wasn't the best that we've played. He switched to a back three at half-time so that we would have a numerical advantage in our build-up play. That worked very well with the centre-backs now wider. And then the stadium immediately played along and provided additional energy. The emotions in the stands gave us a push. That's a big plus. In the international break, we can now regenerate and recover from one or two things."

Sebastian Kehl (in the mixed zone): "If we perform with this attitude, if we demand the ball again and again and offer passing options, then it's really good. We produced a significantly better performance in the second half than in the first. There was no real flow to the game then, in part due to the many interruptions. The coach found the right words at the break and also changed things tactically. It then suited us much better, Union had less of a grip. In terms of our play, we have developed bit by bit over recent weeks." (br)
