In contrast to many other Borussia players, Ole Pohlmann will always remember 2 February 2024. The midfielder joined the Borussia Dortmund U23s from the VfL Wolfsburg reserves in 2021. Since then, the 22-year-old has made 87 appearances for the BVB youngsters in the 3. Liga. Having signed a professional contract in the summer, he came off the bench after 59 minutes in Heidenheim on Friday evening and made his debut in the German top flight.

Ole Pohlmann on his Bundesliga debut:
"It still feels unbelievable, I haven't had a long night. It was an indescribable feeling when I saw that I was coming on. For me, a childhood dream that I've worked hard for came true last night. I'm over the moon that it's happened."

…messages after the match:
"I don't know who wrote to me first. I just know that there were a lot of messages. It's really nice to see how happy my friends and family are for me. They are all proud too."

…the moment of his substitution:
"I can't really describe it exactly. I just walked over to the coach's bench, got changed and knew: 'Now is the moment'. Edin also told me – in addition to one or two tactical instructions – that I should play my game and enjoy myself."

…the match in Heidenheim:
"Heidenheim performed very well. It was an unpleasant match, we knew beforehand that it would be too. There are of course easier moments to come into a game, but you can't influence that in football. It's a shame that we didn't win the game. We had our sights firmly set on that."

…possible first-team appearances in the coming games:
"I don't know yet whether I'll be in the first-team squad against Freiburg or with the U23s in Cologne on Friday evening. We'll have to see and take it day by day. This weekend, the personnel situation in the Bundesliga squad led to this situation. When the players who were out of action at the weekend return, we'll have to see what happens. I'm quite easy and will play where I'm told."
