The 17-year-old comes from FSV Gütersloh, where she was already part of the second division squad at the age of 16. Born in Hamm, she previously played for BV 09 Hamm, TuS Germania Lohauserholz and SV Westfalia Rhynern before joining the U16 team of FSV Gütersloh in 2022. \u201cI was particularly impressed by how professional everything is here and how many opportunities you get as a result. The conditions here are perfect for improving,\u201d said Wisniewski.<\/p>\n<p>Deniese Lichatschow will complete the BVB women\u2019s goalkeeping group for the coming season. The 18-year-old has been playing for Alemannia Aachen since the U15s and made the leap to the first team last year, where she was the substitute goalkeeper. \u201cBorussia Dortmund always seemed so far away for me because it\u2019s such a big and powerful club. The talks with BVB went really well and after the first contact it was already clear to me what I wanted,\u201d explained Schuster. The 28-year-old has played a total of 202 competitive matches for FSV Gütersloh since 2012, including more than 150 in the Bundesliga 2. Schuster became the mother to a daughter in 2022 and was back on the pitch just six months after giving birth. Around two months ago, she suffered a torn cruciate ligament and a torn medial meniscus in training. Schuster is currently in rehabilitation, and is expected to be out for a few more months. The 20-year-old Dutchwoman has already played in both of the top two tiers of the women's football pyramid in Germany. She began her footballing career at VV Emmen in the Netherlands before moving to SV Meppen's U17s in 2018. After making the jump to the first team, she developed into a regular player and played 62 games for the team. In the 2021/22 season, Steenwijk was part of the team that won the Bundesliga 2 with Meppen and was promoted to the top flight, where the Lower Saxons were only able to stay for one season. Steenwijk explains her choice to move to Dortmund: \u201cIn discussions with the club, I was immediately impressed by the plans for the future and the professional structures.
