Fan info for the Champions League away game in Madrid

BVB will play against Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in the UEFA Champions League at 21:00 CEST on Tuesday. We recommend that all travelling BVB fans read the fan information summarised below carefully before making the trip in order to avoid any problems on matchday.

Meeting point

It is recommended for BVB fans who are already in Madrid during the day to meet at Avenida de Brasil. This is a 10-minute walk from the stadium. There are various pubs offering food and drinks, as well as a supermarket. A fan march to the stadium is permitted from there.

Travel

  • Real Madrid recommend travelling to the stadium by public transport or on foot.
  • BVB fans coming from the city centre are recommended to travel to the 'Santiago Bernabéu' metro station. This is located in the direct vicinity of the stadium. The metro runs every five to 10 minutes.
  • Alternatively, the stadium can be reached via the 'Nuevos Ministerios' railway station – around a 10-minute walk from the stadium. The train runs every 20 to 25 minutes.
  • The match ticket does not entitle the holder to travel on public transport. There are ticket machines at every metro or railway station.

Admission

  • The stadium opens at 19:00 CEST, two hours prior to kick-off.
  • Access to the away area is via entrance 37.
  • Admission for wheelchair users is via entrance 40.
  • Visitors to the stadium must pass through several entrance and body checks, which are carried out by both the security service and the police. Accordingly, longer waiting times are to be expected at the away entrance. We therefore recommend that you arrive at the stadium as early as possible.
  • We would ask you to behave with restraint towards the police at all times. Experience shows that the Spanish police will take firm action in the event of minor incidents.

The following fan paraphernalia is permitted

  • A megaphone with integrated battery (already allocated)
  • A drum (open on one side; already allocated)
