FAQ | Home matches at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK
We have summarised the most frequently asked questions about visiting SIGNAL IDUNA PARK for one of our first-team matches. Detailed information is also available in the Stadium Visit section.
SIGNAL IDUNA PARK opens two and a half hours before kick-off on match days. We recommend that you arrive at the stadium well in advance, as there may be waiting times at the entrances.
When entering the stadium, make sure that you are not carrying any prohibited items and that you use the correct entrance area.
Please have your ticket to hand at the entrance. You can print it out or take it with you as a digital ticket.
In the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK stadium regulations, you will find a detailed list of all items that may not be taken into the stadium under §9. If you are unsure about an item, it is best to check the stadium regulations to see if you are allowed to take it with you or ask us at [email protected].
The following applies to the most common items:
Allowed:
- Backpacks/bags up to DIN A4 size
- Keys
- Small umbrellas ("Knirps")
- Powerbanks (up to the size of the corresponding mobile phone)
- Small cosmetic items such as lipstick, hand cream up to 50 ml
Prohibited:

There are more than 10,000 pay-and-display car parks around the stadium. Car park tickets must be purchased in advance from Messe Dortmund or online from DOPARK21. Please have your parking permit ready in good time so that you can show it at the advance checks or at the car park entrances to speed up the process.
You can find detailed information on parking on our page on travelling to SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.
Yes, with a season or day ticket you can use public transport throughout North Rhine-Westphalia on the day of the match and until 3 AM of the following day.
Please note that when using digital or Print@home tickets, a separate, free ticket is required, which you can apply for with your ticket.

For children up to and including the age of six, a child's ticket can be purchased at the turnstiles for €1 provided proof of age (ID, birth certificate). The child sits on the lap of the accompanying person and does not have their own seat. Access to the standing area is not permitted.
