Fan information for the away game against FC Augsburg

BVB are away at the WWK-Arena in Augsburg on Saturday. The match will start at 15:30 CET, with the stadium set to open two hours before kick-off. Around 3,000 fans will be supporting the Black & Yellows in Augsburg. We have summarised the most important information for BVB fans below.

Travel

Travel by train

From the main station, take the stadium line to the "Fußball-Arena" stop.
The stadium line runs every five minutes on matchday from two hours before the match and every 2 to 3 minutes after the match. The travel time from the main station is around 20 minutes.
All match tickets are valid as tickets for local public transport (bus and tram) operated by Augsburger Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH (avg) in zones 10 and 20 (three hours before and after the match).
Match tickets are not valid as travel tickets on regional trains and regional buses operated by the Augsburger Verkehrsverbund (AVV).

Travel by bus

Buses can park in the visiting bus park directly in front of the away sector. The parking fee is €20.

Travel by car/minibus

A separate away parking area for cars is not offered. Parking areas P1 and P4 at the stadium are available (parking fee €10).
From the north: Via the B2 (Donauwörth-Augsburg), then continue on the B17 towards Landsberg. Stay on that road until you reach the "Arena" exit.
From the south: Via the B17 (Landsberg-Augsburg). Stay on it until you reach the "Arena" exit.
From the west: Via the A8 (Stuttgart-Munich), exit Augsburg-West (direction Augsburg, Landsberg). You are now on the B17. Stay on that road until you reach the "Arena" exit.
From the east: Via the A8 (Munich-Stuttgart), exit Augsburg-West (direction Augsburg, Landsberg). You are now on the B17. Stay on that road until you reach the "Arena" exit.
In addition, the parking area at Messe Augsburg can be used (parking fee €6). From there, shuttle buses will run to the stadium free of charge.

Admission

The stadium opens two hours before kick-off.
The away entrance is entrance 5. Admission is only possible via the entrance assigned on the ticket.
The match tickets can be presented in both paper form and on your mobile phone at the entrance.
There is a free-of-charge drop-off point for bags, rucksacks and other items that cannot be taken with you into the stadium at the away entrance.
Please note that there is a ban on carrying glass bottles and alcohol from the moment you enter the parking area.

Small flags (pole length up to 1.50 metres, diameter up to 2 cm)

Please note that flagpoles must generally be made of plastic; wooden sticks are not permitted.

Stadium

The standing area is located in Block W, the seats in Block X.
It is strictly forbidden to climb the fences in the away block due to safety reasons (danger of falling).
Steps and stairways must be kept clear.
Food and drinks can exclusively be paid for in cashless form via card (EC and credit card) at the respective sales kiosks.
Alcohol is served in the away block.
Please note the current Stadium Regulations.

Other information

The entire premises of the WWK-Arena (including parking spaces and the away bus entrance too) belong to the FC Augsburg event area. It is forbidden for persons with a stadium ban to loiter there.
As part of the "Augsburg Calling" campaign, BVB fans will this time have the opportunity to take part in city tours or visit selected museums free of charge. You can find more information here.
The FCA-KidsClub invites all visiting children from the ages of 6 and 13 to take part in an exclusive lap of honour directly before the start of the match. Together, the kids will complete a lap around the pitch and greet the fans at the stadium. Registration is via [email protected].

Barriere-free fan info

The disabled parking area is part of the PD car park. Persons can park here free of charge if they can present an "Extraordinarily Walking Disabled" (aG) or "Blind" (BI) symbol in their disabled parking permit.
It is possible to obtain radio receivers for the visually impaired coverage. Please contact the fan representatives for this.
Wheelchair users can park free of charge in the away bus parking lot following prior registration with the fan representatives.

Maximilian Beier returned to the bench. Emre Can, Julian Ryerson, Carney Chukwuemeka and Serhou Guirassy joined the team. <\/p>\nTactics:  <\/b>As in the Champions League, BVB started with two strikers (Fabio Silva alongside Guirassy) and a number 10, with Chukwuemeka primarily operating from the inside-left. In the four-strong midfield line behind them, Ryerson moved to the left side. Freiburg also met Dortmund's 3-4-1-2 with a back three or back five. Both attacked high and the two sides gave each other hardly any air to breathe in the first 30 minutes. Ginter was always close to Guirassy, Jung moved out of the back line when Fabio Silva dropped deep, which the Dortmund player often did, receiving balls in the middle of the park. Borussia came forward mainly down the right wing, via the agile Couto.<\/p>\n<img src=\"/content/dam/bvbweb/en/news/2025/12/14/bl-spielbericht/14-Freiburg-1.jpg\" data-assetref=\"14-Freiburg-1-1765726138427\"><\/p>\nThe match & analysis: \n <\/b>From the very first minute on, the match was played at a high intensity. After just ten minutes, Couto and Manzambi saw yellow cards for a tussle on the touchline. There were also fiery scenes on the pitch: Guirassy headed a well-timed Fabio Silva cross just past the left post in the 9th minute, and shortly afterwards, Manzambi beat Can around the left hand corner of the six yard box, but he did not get enough behind his shot, meaning that Kobel could easily stop it on 9 minutes.<\/p>\nBorussia Dortmund had enjoyed 66 percent of the possession in the first 20 minutes \u2013 and also carved out the first big chance. After a one-two with Guirassy, Chukwuemeka took aim from an acute angle, but his shot hit the side netting in the 21st minute. Shortly afterwards, Can earned the chance to open the scoring as a result of some high pressing, which caused Freiburg to lose the ball in their half, but his shot from 17 metres was not accurate or powerful enough on 24 minutes. After exactly half an hour, the Black & Yellows were rewarded for their courageous performance: Couto struck a free kick from the right side into the box, Bensebaini chested the ball down and prodded it over the line to make it 1-0 in the 31st minute. Even though BVB was clearly in the driver\u2019s seat, Freiburg consistently looked dangerous on the counter, and shortly before the break, Günter had his side\u2019s third and best chance to score an equaliser, but the hosts\u2019 captain fired horribly wide in the 45th minute.<\/p>\n<img src=\"/content/dam/bvbweb/en/news/2025/12/14/bl-spielbericht/14-Freiburg-4.jpg\" data-assetref=\"14-Freiburg-4-1765726122396\"><\/p>\nEight minutes after the restart, Jobe Bellingham saw a red card. After a risky pass from Kobel, the Englishman tried to put his body in the way 19 metres out in front of his own goal, but caught Treu, who was bursting forward at pace, and was given his marching orders by referee Zwayer for preventing a clear goalscoring opportunity. It was Bellingham\u2019s first foul in the game. Günter fired the resulting free kick just past the left-hand post.<\/p>\nBVB responded to going a man down by bringing on Pascal Groß for Fabio Silva, and had hardly any extended periods of possession thereafter. The match took place almost entirely in the Dortmund half. Kobel brilliantly tipped a follow-up shot from Treu around the post in the 69th minute, and also showed strong reactions to save Suzuki\u2019s shot, which had taken a wicked deflection off Bensebaini, in the 74th minute. But 60 seconds later, Freiburg were celebrating the equaliser Höler did well to get on the end of Günter\u2019s cross and finished brilliantly, finding the far post.
