Pre-Match Report

Countdown: Sky to broadcast | Reichel to referee

Borussia Dortmund will be away to Union Berlin on Saturday. Kick-off is at 15:30 CEST. We have compiled all the info on our Bundesliga away game in a compact format. This page will be updated if there is any news.

Referee: Tobias Reichel in charge
The 39-year-old Stuttgart native is overseeing his third match involving Borussia Dortmund. In the summer of 2020, Tobias Reichel was added to the extended list of Bundesliga referees on a tryout basis and, in this context, took charge of the match between Borussia Dortmund and Arminia Bielefeld on 27 February 2021 (3-0). In addition, he later oversaw the game against 1. FC Heidenheim in September 2023 (2-2). Christian Bandurski and Marcel Pelgrim will be his assistants on the sidelines, while Wolfgang Haslberger will serve as the fourth official. Tobias Stieler will sit in front of the screens as the VAR.

Personnel matters: Without Adeyemi and Duranville
Borussia Dortmund will make the trip to the capital without the injured Giovanni Reyna, Karim Adeyemi and Julien Duranville. More on that here.

Facts: Union's bogey team
BVB have won six of their last seven matches against 1. FC Union Berlin, including the last three in a row. The Iron Ones have only lost seven times in the Bundesliga to Borussia Dortmund and to Bayern Munich. More on that here.

Live broadcast: Sky and Net Radio
The match can be watched live on TV via Sky. The pre-match coverage will start at 14:00 CEST. Britta Hofmann (pictured) will present the programme with Dietmar Hamann on punditry duty. The match will be commentated by Kai Dittmann and can be watched on Sky Sport Bundesliga 2. Jonas Friedrich will be the simulcast commentator. The BVB Net Radio will give you the usual Black & Yellow take. Boris Rupert and Tobias Reiff are the reporters. Match highlights plus the press conference and match reactions will be available on BVB TV.
