Saturday 2 November (18:30 CEST): BVB vs. Leipzig
The 09th Bundesliga matchday has a top match in store for BVB. Leipzig will be the visitors to SIGNAL IDUNA PARK at 18:30 CEST. After playing for a long time with 10 men (Hummels red card), the Black & Yellows lost 3-2 on the Saxony side’s last visit to the Strobelallee, while the away game in April ended in a 4-1 defeat. BVB have won four of their eight Bundesliga home games in total against Leipzig.
Tuesday 5 November (21:00 CEST): BVB vs. Sturm Graz
The game against Sturm Graz (buy tickets here) on Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League represents a first: the two teams have never met before in a competitive match. There will be a return to Dortmund for defender Jon Gorenc Stankovic. He played for BVB between 2014 and 2016 and predominantly laced his boots for the U23s, for whom he made 62 appearances (plus two matches for the U19s). The Slovenian joined Sturm Graz from Huddersfield Town in 2020.
Saturday 9 November (15:30 CEST): 1. FSV Mainz 05 vs. BVB
BVB will travel to 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Bundesliga Matchday 10. The Black & Yellows have been victorious in 11 of their 18 matches in total away to the men from Rhenish-Hesse. The most recent meeting on Matchday 33 of last season did end in a 3-0 defeat to the hosts, but coach Edin Terzic rested multiple first-team regulars with a view to the upcoming Champions League final.
Sunday 10 November (14:00 CEST): Women’s handballers vs. Banik Most
The Borussia Dortmund women’s handballers will take on Czech outfit Banik Most in the first leg of the EHF European League third qualifying round (buy tickets here). The match will be played at the Helmut-Körnig-Halle in Dortmund, with the return leg in Most to take place on 17 November (17:00 CEST). The Borussia ladies were eliminated by HC Dunarea Braila from Romania in the third qualifying round last year. Head of department Rupert Thiele has made it clear several times that they want to reach the group stages again after a one-year absence. "I cannot really assess the strength of the opposition. But it is clear that we of course want to be involved in the group games again."
Saturday 23 November (15:30 CEST): BVB vs. SC Freiburg
SC Freiburg will pay a visit to SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. Sport-Club are currently in fifth position in the table: The Breisgau outfit have won five and lost three of their eight matches. There has not yet been a draw in a match involving Freiburg this season. BVB have won all of their last five matches against Freiburg, including the most recent away game by a 3-0 scoreline in February.
Sunday 24 November (11:00 CEST): General meeting
One day after the home game against SC Freiburg, Ballspielverein Borussia 09 e. V. Dortmund will host its annual general meeting at the Westfalenhalle starting at 11:00 CEST. The welcome address by the president will be followed by honours and annual reports as well as various elections. All club members who have reached the age of 16 by 24 November 2024 will be eligible to attend.
Wednesday 27 November (21:00 CEST): Dinamo Zagreb vs. BVB
Dinamo Zagreb are the most successful club in Croatia: 25-time champions, 17-time cup winners and, beforehand, four-time Yugoslav champions. Their biggest international success was winning the Fairs Cup, the predecessor of the UEFA Cup, in 1967. They have played 19 games against German clubs but have never faced BVB.
Saturday 30 November (18:30 CEST): BVB vs. Bayern Munich
The current league leaders will visit SIGNAL IDUNA PARK at the end of the month. With 20 points, Bayern Munich top the table due to their superior goal difference compared to Leipzig, who are level on points. The men from Munich have won six and drawn two of their eight matches. They have not yet lost a Bundesliga game this season.
