Travel information for the home game against Freiburg
Train services:
NWL Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe informs that individual lines are closed due to construction works:
- RB 53 (Dortmund - Schwerte - Iserlohn): Cancellation and rail replacement service from Dortmund via Schwerte to Iserlohn (stop: Max-Planck-Gymnasium/Ardeystraße)
- RE 57 (Dortmund - Arnsberg - Winterberg/Brilon): Cancellation on the section from Dortmund to Fröndenberg/Meschede and replacement by rail replacement services (stop: Max-Planck-Gymnasium/Ardeystraße)
- RB 59 (Dortmund - Soest): Cancellation and rail replacement service between Holzwickede and Unna
- Special TRI train to Hamm: Due to the closure between Holzwickede and Unna, the special train will run from the Signal Iduna Park station to Hamm via Dortmund Hbf. and Kamen (without stopping at the Hbf. on arrival).
There is also a closure of the S4 (Dortmund-Stadthaus - Unna).
Arrival:
- The special TRI train from Hamm stops at Signal Iduna Park station at 13:59.
- The RB 52 from Lüdenscheid stops at Signal Iduna Park station at 14:17.
Departure:
- After the final whistle, a special RB51 train will depart from the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK stop at 18:06 for Lünen, travelling as per usual via Dortmund Hbf., Kirchderne, Derne and Preußen.
- The special TRI train will depart Signal Iduna Park station at 17:58 and return to Hamm via Dortmund-Hbf. (18:07).
Those travelling by car should note the construction works in the B1 tunnel on Ardeystrasse. Only one of the two tunnel tubes is open to traffic; the other tube is closed because it is being renovated. There may be traffic jams in the tunnel on the day of the match.
Combi-tickets and passenger information
BVB tickets are valid on the day of the match as a combined ticket for one outbound and one return journey. The ticket can be used on all surcharge-free local trains (second class) as well as all buses and trains operated by local transport companies throughout NRW. The DSW21 ticket can be ordered free of charge at https://kombiticket.dsw21.de/.
