Travel information for the home game against Sturm Graz

Borussia Dortmund will face Sturm Graz in the UEFA Champions League at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK on Tuesday evening (05/11, kick-off at 21:00 CET). Unscheduled stops at the stadium and special trains will complement the scheduled services.

 

Train services

NWL Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe informs that some lines are closed due to construction work:

  • RB 53 (Dortmund - Schwerte - Iserlohn): Cancellation and rail replacement service from Dortmund via Schwerte to Iserlohn
  • RE 57 (Dortmund - Arnsberg - Winterberg/Brilon): cancellation on the section from Dortmund to Fröndenberg/Meschede (depending on the period) and replacement by rail replacement services
  • RB 59 (Dortmund - Soest): Cancellation and rail replacement service between Holzwickede and Unna
  • Special train TRI to Hamm: Due to the closure between Holzwickede and Unna, the special train will run from SIGNAL IDUNA PARK station via Dortmund main station and Kamen to Hamm.

There is also a closure of the S4 (Dortmund-Stadthaus - Unna).

Arrival:

  • The TRI special train from Hamm stops at 19:31 at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK station.
  • The RB 52 from Lüdenscheid stops at 19:17 at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK station.

Departure:

  • After the final whistle, the RB52 will depart at 23:42 from the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK stop in the direction of Lüdenscheid - following this train, there will be a special RB52 train from Hagen Hbf, which leaves for Lüdenscheid at 00:12 (arrival: 00:52).
  • The TRI special train departs at 23:41 from SIGNAL IDUNA PARK station via Dortmund main station (23:49) back to Hamm.

Those travelling by car should note the construction work in the B1 tunnel on Ardeystrasse. Only one of the two tunnel tubes is open to traffic, the other tube is closed because it is being renovated. There may be traffic jams in the tunnel on the day of the match.

BVB tickets are valid on the day of the match as a combined ticket for one outbound and one return journey. The ticket can be used on all surcharge-free local trains (second class) as well as all buses and trains operated by local transport companies throughout NRW.
